Finally, something is coming out of Hollywood about bodies and fitness and style that I can resonate with.
For a second, after realising that this little person will be arriving when we’re just about into Summer I thought, “Gosh, I hope I lose weight quickly so I can fit into some Summer-friendly clothing.”
It didn’t last long. The thought was probably squashed by some other day-mare about the fact that this kid is coming and how the heck do you know if you’re ready. Something like that.
I will say this, I am dying to go for a run. I cannot wait for the day when I can strap on some shoes and feel the wind in my hair for a good, solid hour. It’s not going to happen for a while, though. Apart from being horribly unfit, there is a whole lot of post-baby stuff that needs to happen… apparently 🙂
Anyway, back to hollywood.
Hathaway first captured my heart with this post. Did you see it?
There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever). There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all). There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer’s are just too dang short for this summer’s thighs. Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.) Peace xx #noshame #lovewhatyouhavebeengiven
And finally, there’s Selma Blair. She has a 5 year old, but she’s keeps it pretty real.
